WE HAVE A DATE & VENUE!!!!

JULY 14TH 2012 WILL BE MY WEDDING ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

This is soo unreal.  I am planning MY WEDDING!  I've gone to 20+weddings (literally) in the past 2 years and now get to plan my own!  I cannot be more thrilled and excited right now.

We just confirmed everything with the church and venue!!  I feel like a huge weight has lifted and now all the fun, detail planning can begin!

We are going to get married at my church - Gloria Dei Lutheran and then have the reception at Black on Burlington.  Its a really cool loft type space in North Kansas City, just north of downtown KC.  

Wedding magazines have consumed my life!

I'm not kidding.

They are in the dining room, next to the bed, on the couch...everywhere!!!  But I can't stop myself from looking through them and getting ideas upon ideas for our wedding.

This weekend we are viewing quite a few venues, hopefully finding one we love and being able to pick a date!  I can't stand it that I don't have a date to work towards yet...being the planner that I am!

Family & friends - give us a few more days and hopefully I'll be able to set the date and tell the world, I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!

I'm feeling truly blessed this morning!

You know when you wake up from a great night sleep and just feel refreshed, kinda like you can take on anything...well that's how I felt this morning.

I went to bed at 9pm last night, yes folks before my grandparents normally go to bed, but I don't care.  I got the greatest night sleep which I have not gotten in quite some time.  Room was cold, pillows were fluffed and I just dozed right to sleep.

I woke up to MY FIANCE sleeping beside me and I just felt blessed!  I'm so lucky to have met him and become best friends!  He truly is the love of my life and now I get to spend the rest of my life with him.  He makes me laugh, smile, and feel so good about myself.  I don't know how he does it every day, but I always walk away with a smile on my face.

For those of you you can't stand the mushy stuff, sorry I'll stop.  I'm just HAPPY!  And I haven't felt this happy in a very long time!  Brian deserved a post dedicated to him to let him know how special he was to me!

For Brian's Bday I gave him a new grill!  It is awesome!  I was so proud of myself for doing the research, picking it out, having his friend Cory help me store it and deliver it.  Brian loved it!!!

Lots of changes in the past 2 weeks as you can see through my blog posts.  

1.) Moved in with Brian into OUR first home together.

2.) ENGAGED

3.) Wedding planning has begun.

And holy cow its all a little stressful!  But in a good way!

I've never been happier in my entire life!  I have met the man of my dreams who turned out to be my best friend and now I get to spend the rest of my life WITH HIM!!  

We are trying to plan a June 2012 Wedding, but part of me thinks it will be pushed to July depending on how quickly we can find a place to have it.  I'm not real worried about the other stuff, I know it will fall into place, but my big concern is the venue....all the choices!  And holy cow they are expensive!

Its all good though...I know I'll be posting about the wedding planning, exercising (needing to lose those last 10 pounds pronto now) and all the other exciting events going on in my life.

Like....MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING IS NEXT WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I cannot wait!  I will be her Maid of Honor and I couldn't be happier for her and Eric!

Yes, it's true!  Brian proposed last night in front of all of our family and friends!!  He completely took me by surprise!

I don't have any pictures yet, I still need to get them from people at the party.  As soon as I do I will post!

I'm now living with a boy!!!

Yes it has happened, I'm now living with a boy!  I think it has finally sunk in!

Brian and I have made the decision to move in together...yes folks "I'm living in sin" as my mother puts it.  But hey I'm 27 years old...hopefully a ring coming around the corner (eh eh Brian...)...

Actually it's the greatest feeling in the world right now to come home every single night and see him, with NO roommates!!!!  

Our house is coming together, slowly but it's coming together.  Here are some pics of the house...almost finished, but you get the point!

PS - I'm soo silly happy right now that I get to spend every day with the person I love!  Cheesey I know, but I can't help it!

I seriously need to get paid to live at the beach!

I could probably live on the beach, at the beach, be a beach bum for the rest of my life! 

I love the sound of the ocean, the smell of the salt water...i don't even mind the taste of salt water!  I love love love being at the beach!

A few weeks ago I was able to go to Fort Myers, FL with a few of my good friends to celebrate my BEST friend's Bachelorette Party!  We had a blast...sooo relaxing....did some shopping....caught up...laughed... had a few drinks...just had an AMAZING TIME! 

We even surprised her with a fun wig to take her out on the town!  Enjoy some of my favorite pics of the long weekend!
