Kstate v. KU Game

Brian and I had our own personal tailgate...and by no means was it a healthy one...just some of our favorite tailgate items.

And surprisingly we were both nice to each other during the game.

In case you were not aware, Brian went to KU and is a HUGE Jayhawk fan.

I went to K-State and am a HUGE wildcat fat.

We are both competitive when it comes to our football and sports teams, but we were nice to each other this Saturday afternoon.

I love my husband.  Even if he is a KU fan.

And I love our child...who could care less about Kstate or KU...she just loves her Christmas binky and nap time!

Kitchen Update

Brian and I have done A TON of painting over the past few months.

Our kitchen is pretty much done!  Woohoo!!  We can count one room off on our list of painting and making it ours.

Overall, there was not a lot of hard demo-type work that had to be done, but painting and hanging pictures that fit Brian and I was on the top of the list.

I still have to add some nick knacks above the cabinets, but so far I haven't found anything that I like enough to put up there to fill the space.  Brian doesn't think anything needs to go above the cabinet...so we are trying to find the right balance.

Anyhoo...Here are a few pics of before:

I GOT MY COMPUTER BACK!!!!

I got my computer back!  Thank you Geek Squad at Best Buy!!!

He was able to restore my computer, put all of my pictures on DVD's and upload them back onto my computer!  I forever owe him my life!

Well, maybe not my life, but my pictures are my life and I can't tell you how devastated I would be if I lost them.

So...tonight I'm uploading them all to PhotoBucket so I never have to worry about where they are or if they get lost, etc.

Ahh, life is good again and I can begin uploading pics and blogging again about my boring little life that I love oh so much!

More pics on the house, wedding, honeymoon to come!

I'm back!!

iPAD vs. Laptop

Well...I came to the conclusion last night that I much rather have a laptop over an iPAD.

GASP!

I know, I know not everyone would say that.  It might be my inexperience with Apple products, but I am having such a hard time figuring out how to upload pictures to this blog (hence no posts recently), or to Facebook.  There is no CD Drive for our engagement pictures to be viewed and you have to buy extra pieces of "equipment" for all "normal" functions of a regular old PC.

So...this weekend we are going back to Nebraska Furniture Mart to exchange our new iPAD for a new laptop so I can feel happy again.

If you are reading this and have any quick advice in the next few days on what I may be doing wrong -- please please email me at sarah.dorward@gmail.com!  I will take all the help I can get!

Or might even be persuaded if I could just figure it out!

Posts of our house transformations to come soon!  (I promise!)

Our honeymoon was perfect!

Brian and I had a wonderful wedding!  It was everything we could have asked for and more.

Now I just wish I could go back and live it all over again!

We left the Monday after our wedding and headed to the Dominican Republic.  It was a place we would probably never go back to and we had an absolutely perfect time.
* Beach
* Pool
* Continuous drinks with umbrellas and fruity flavors
* Fun shows in the evening
* 7 different restaurants on our resort
* 24 Hour room service

Enough talking...I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

I'm back!

Hi Everyone!!!

I'm back from my time away from the blogging world!  I have missed catching up on friends' blogs, reading about new home decorating projects and now I can probably stop reading wedding blogs because I AM MARRIED!!!

A  lot has happened over the past two months, and I probably can't take the time to fill you in on everything but here's the jist (sp?)

1.) New home w/ the new hubby
2.) Started a new job
3.) Got married and we went to DR for our honeymoon (this will definitely be a post soon).

Life is great.  I'm soo incredibly happy, no more stress, just enjoying the time with Brian, learning my new job and RELAXING!  I cannot tell you the last time I relaxed...took Ellie on a walk...watched TV for a full Saturday afternoon.

I'm enjoying every minute of it!

More posts on wedding and honeymoon and updated house pictures to come.  But for right now, I have to get to work!

Have a great Thursday!!

Wednesday, June 20

I'm so sorry!

I have failed at posting anything about my life lately.

In the past month I have...
1) started a new job
2) moved to a new house and painted the entire first floor (well almost, we have 1 more coat of the entry room left)
3) 1 month out from my wedding - lots of planning and finishing things for the big day.

I'm kinda stressed to be honest.  I don't like to get stressed, I think it is a sign of weakness.  (not for you, but for me).  I like to be in control, to have everything in order, to do in my way (yes I know I sound like a b&*%) but I'm just a very anal person when it comes to my life and being in control of it.

I'm a control freak - there I admit it!

Right now I feel like I am going in 100 directions, I can't keep track of my to-do lists to keep track of to do lists, etc.  So needless to say something had to give.  That was my blog.  After I get back from the honeymoon (Dominican Republic baaaabbbbbbbbbaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyy!!!!) I will update you on the house, my new job, life in general and start getting fun wtih this blog again!

I PROMISE!
