I'm getting old...

This coming Sunday I will be turning 28.....

I wasn't excited about turning 27...I'm not too keen on becoming one year older either.  That just means 2 more years and I'm 30!!!!!!!

I don't know...I could never picture myself this OLD.  I know I'm not that old in the grand scheme of things, but I just feel OLD.  Here's why:

- I don't like to go to happy hour on Friday nights anymore...too tired after a long week of work
- Go to bed by 9:30pm during the week
- 11:30/midnight on the weekend is getting late!
- P&L scares me
- College kids are beginning to look young - not just high school kiddos!
- I like wearing jeans and cardigans
- High heels hurt my feet

I know its inevitable...I have to get older...I am just not ready for it!

B.R.E.A.D

Well, I gave up BREAD for lent.

No more quesadillas, biscuits and gravy, pizza or JIMMY JOHN'S sandwiches.

I love the bread that Jimmy John's uses for their sandwiches.  It's my favorite.  Its hard, not mushy, it keeps its shape, doesn't leave mushy clumps in my braces (only important for 4 more weeks) and it is overall simply delicious!

Sooo yummy!
Well, since I am training and getting in shape for my wedding I figured I would give up something for lent that would help me reach my goal and be hard for me NOT to eat.

So bread it was.

And Brian last night said "pizza sounds good, doesn't it."  I replied "yes it does, but I can't eat it, so go ahead with out me".  He felt awful but it was funny to us.  First night not being able to eat bread and he already is suggesting pizza.

This could be a long 40 days!

It's raining babies!!!

Maybe a little over exaggeration, but every time I look at a Facebook news feed, or read an email, someone else is prego!  I know I'm at that age (27) that this is happening for people, but holy cow!  And it wasn't even that cold of a winter for folks to be bundled up inside!  hehe

Its really exciting though!  I know 3 people close to me that are due in the summer/fall of 2012.  A few of our friends had babies last November.  It's really exciting to see the changes that are going on in their lives and to be a part of it.

It's funny though, Brian and I will look at each other and say "nope, definitely not ready yet".  Its great to hold them and coo and ahh over how cute they are, but then they poop and scream and I'm done.  No offence, I'm just not ready to be responsible for someone else's life other than my own.

Quick post - not insightful in anyway, just an observation in the last few weeks...it is definitely raining babies in my world!

I'm a bit behind

I know, I'm a bit behind on my postings.

Life has been a little busy lately with wedding planning, work, and spending quite a bit of time at the gym!

I'm up to 3 miles on the treadmill in 30 minutes.  That means I'm running at a 6.0 on the treadmill which is something I have never been able to do.  I'm very proud of myself!  Next step is to increase to 4 miles...YIKES!  I haven't run that in a few years at least.  But I know I can do it!

So since I've been so busy wedding planning, let me give you a few sneak peaks!  You can't see the whole picture because I dont' want to give too much away, but I'm super excited about the purchases, bookings and happenings of the last few weeks!

(sorry its a little blurry)

Hope you are enjoying the start to 2012!  5 months and 1 day until I get married!!!!
