Moving Day is Approaching!!!

I can't believe this day has finally come!!! Only 4 more days and Brian and I will be getting the keys to our first home!!!!

I am beyond excited!!!

We take possession on June 4th...let the cleaning and painting begin!  I've already taken before pictures {here}.  But don't you worry, I will be taking pictures as we get changes done around the house.  

We officially move on June 9th -- this time we hired movers!  Smart thinking on our parts, I know!

This weekend Brian is away on a golf trip and I am enjoying 4 days by my self.  GLORIOUS!

More Engagement Pics

We received our engagement picture CD yesterday in the mail!  I love them and can't wait to have some pictures of us in our new house!  I am getting more and more excited for our wedding!!!

Total Dis-organization

We move a month from today!  I am soo excited and have soo many plans to keep the house organized, clean and decorated.  I can't wait to get started!!

Meanwhile, our current house is in complete disarray.  

I can't stand it.

Boxes are now everywhere to start the packing process, our dining room has turned into an office and P90X workout station, and I don't think the laundry has been put away for over a week.

Oh well.  

Life will move on...I will eventually be organized and put together in a house.  Why...because I am not moving in a year!!!!!  The first home I will own and I could not be more excited!

Today I have failed.

I haven't totally failed, just feel like I've tripped on the steps and spilled my coffee kinda fail.

I should blame Brian because we went to the Royals Game last night and I had to get up at 5:30am to drive back home to get ready for work, but I had a blast last night and our two tickets were less than $20 and they won!!!  That's awesome!

So today, I get back home, park the car in the garage, and go upstairs.  I need a 20 min. nap before showering and getting ready for work.  I get ready, come back downstairs and realize my headlights are on...

and my car won't start.......AWESOME!

I call a few girls I work with, ended up getting a ride to work.  Great.  Only kinda fail here.

I get to work and really really really need a coffee and fail #2, don't have cash or my debit card.  I had to ask my co-workers for a few dollars so I could get some coffee.

Then had to ask a friend/co-worker for money so I could eat lunch.

I officially fail today!

It's Official!

It's official.  I have accepted a new job at the Federal Reserve Bank in Kansas City.  After 4 1/2 years I will be leaving Payless and the retail world!  

It is a very bitter-sweet moment, but I am very excited for this new chapter in my life.

I have worked with some amazing people and grown in my career more than I could have ever asked for.  

My last day at Payless will be around the 16th and then I will start at the Fed on May 21st.  

Kansas City here I officially come!!!  New house, new home, new husband.  Its a very exciting time right now and I can't wait for it all to start!
